“Where the Ice Age ends,
and your adventure begins!”

November, 25th, Late Thursday Evening--a covering of snow is falling. The ground is cold enough that it is not melting. This should be good for tracking during these last days of deer season.
Many years ago, my dad (Stanley Hebda, Sr.) used to love hunting the land out east of Rib Lake. For deer hunting, he carried a bolt action, 30-06 rifle. It was a heavy gun, but very accurate.
One season, he accidentally killed 3 deer with one shot! The deer in his sights was shot through the neck, and when he got to it there were 2 others laying dead. Apparently the bullet had passed out of deer #1through the neck, then through the ribcage of deer #2 and lodged in the heart of deer #3. Wow!
